We havent been doing much of anything lately but working our tails off trying to save up some moneies in time for christmas. If you know me, you know that i build websites for a living as a Freelance Graphic Designer and Web Developer. Recently i have landed a nice little project that has enabled me to purchase the lens i have been wanting since february. The Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8D VR G-AFS ED-IF Lens. This thing is a beast and my first professional grade lens. I am so excited and i cant wait to see that big brown truck pull in the driveway and hand this early christmas present. Literally i feel like a kid again on christmas eve. The anticipation is so great i just can’t take it anymore.
Also, shh don’t tell, but Pam has gotten me some Pocket Wizards for Christmas as well. Those are on their way with the lens but i have to hold out until Christmas before i am allowed to play with those. This means no more misfires or out-of-range mishaps from my little Cactus triggers that i got off of ebay. While they have served me well for the past year, they’re not completely 100% reliable and do have their limitations but that is all out the window now!.
As far as shooting goes, we have a few plays on ideas we would like to make a reality but have no set date or anything as of yet. Still working on talking the models into it. We hope to get out there and do some shooting some time soon as it has been forever (or so it seems) since we have had the oppritunity and plus, now i have a new toy so i can use it as an excuse. hehe. Of course ebing so busy with work i cant guarantee when i be able to actually play with the new equipment but i sure hope that it is soon. Probably during Thanksgiving or something.
Anyways, I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving and gets their bellies settled before next month when the holidays are here.
